Hebrides
Ensemble with Scottish Dance Theatre
Hebrides Ensemble is joined by Scottish
Dance Theatre with stunning new choreography for two dancers performing
to the beautiful Pari Intervallo by Arvo Pärt. Hebrides Ensemble
also performs the intimate Signs, Games and Messages by György Kurtág,
works by Luciano Berio and Francis Poulenc and the virtuosic Concert Suite
for seven instruments of The Soldier’s Tale by Igor Stravinsky.

Scotland's foremost chamber group make a welcom return to Kurtag's music with his contemporary classic "...pas a pas - nulle part..." (...step by step - nowhere...) setting poems by Samuel Beckett for baritone voice, strings and percussion.
Also featured is a new commission by Scottish based composer David Fennessy and woven between these works Mozart's arrangements for string trio of music by J.S.Bach.
